“The clowning we practice has always been intimately linked to tradition and carries echoes of the language of the Commedia dell’Arte. We come from a tradition of theater rooted in wonder and simplicity ,which we have enriched over the years by using increasingly fascinatingstage machinery and inventing a visual aesthetic that is uniquely our own.
We create performances in which we immerse multidisciplinary performers in ethereal worlds where wonder sometimes manifests itself in a naiveway , sometimes in an ingenious way, and other times in a surreal way.”
— Daniele Finzi Pasca

GOLDONI THEATER
Built in 1622, the Carlo Goldoni Theater is the oldest theater in Venice still in existence today. Having witnessed the great events of the past, it remains a symbol of the city, a venue for its citizens, and a major attraction for numerous tourists.
Carlo Goldoni himself worked there for nearly ten years, from 1753 until his departure for Paris, writing some of his most successful works there.
After hosting actors of the caliber of Eleonora Duse on its stage, the theater building underwent a complete renovation during the 20th century. Since its reopening in 1979, it has been led by distinguished figures, including the unforgettable Giorgio Gaber, and in 1992, management was transferred to the Teatro Stabile del Veneto. For more than twenty-five years, we have been offering Venetian and international audiences a program and numerous activities tailored to the city, its residents, and its many visitors.
